The Power of Forgiveness: Finding release through forgiving

Paminus Machamire

“I want to forgive, but I can’t.”

“He doesn’t deserve my forgiveness. He has caused me untold pain.”

Pastors hear these kinds of confessions all the time. They come from people who need help because they are hurting due to unresolved conflicts.

Unless conflicts are attended to in their earliest stages they have the potential to distance people from one another. A lack of forgiveness tears marriages apart, brings animosity between in-laws, sours relationships at work, and results in divisions among church members. However, forgiveness has the power to transform conflicts into agents of peace and growth.

In this book, experienced pastor Dr. Paminus Machamire examines the theme of forgiveness in the life of David, the king of Judah. The ways in which he chose to deal with the various conflict situations in his life can teach us much about the power of forgiveness to restore relationships. Like David, you too can become a conduit of God’s love if you accept His forgiveness and extend it to others.
